For the second time in three weeks, Ace has named senior guard Kelly Martin (Scituate, Massachusetts/Scituate) from the regionally-ranked women's basketball program as the Champions Choice Stonehill Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Martin led the Skyhawks into first place in the NE10's Northeast Division after a 2-0 week, averaging 25 points per game on 47.2-percent shooting from the field (17-for-36), including 10-for-21 (47.6%) from three-point distance, while converting 6-of-7 (85.7%) free-throws for the week. She also contributed four rebounds, three assists and a steal per game in the two road wins. Martin scored a game-high 22 points in Tuesday's 75-51 win at Assumption , with a team-high matching five rebounds, four assists and two steals, posting her second turnover-free game of the season. She surpassed 20 points for the second-straight game and third time this season overall, leading Stonehill to a key 65-53 win at Southern N.H. on Saturday with a season-high 28 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the floor, including 6-for-10 from three-point distance, with three rebounds and two assists. In addition to collecting her second Ace's Athlete of the Week honor of the season (sixth career), Martin was also named the Spalding NE10 Player of the Week for her efforts.

Ace has named senior Alison Tobin (Hudson, Massachusetts/Hudson) from the women's track & field program as the Champions Choice Stonehill Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Tobin shattered the school pole vault record which she previously accomplished twice and share with one other to lead a Stonehill sweep of the top three positions in the event at Saturday's season-opening UMass Boston Winter Open at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center. She cleared 11-feet, 5.75-inches to qualify for the New England Championships in February and narrowly miss the NCAA provisional qualifying standard, breaking the previous school mark by nearly a foot. Tobin surpassed the previous mark of 10-feet, 6-inches she had reached back to back weeks in February 2016 and also matched by teammate Ashley Colarusso last winter. Tobin earns Ace's Athlete of the Week honors for the first time in her career.

Ace has named senior guard Kelly Martin (Scituate, Massachusetts/Scituate) from the women's basketball program as the Champions Choice Stonehill Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Martin averaged a double-double with 15 points and ten assists per game in a 2-0 week for the Skyhawks, becoming the 30th student-athlete in program history to surpass 1,000 career points in the process. Shot 47.8-percent from the field (11-for-23) for the week, while also averaging five rebounds and a blocked shot, totaling 20 assists with just two turnovers over the two games at point. Posted her second double-double of the season, and the third of her career on points and assists, with 19 points (17 first half) and a career-high 12 assists with no turnovers in Saturday's 99-69 win over LIU Post, shooting 6-for-10 from the floor, including 2-for-5 from three-point distance, with five rebounds, scoring her 1,000th career point with two free-throws late in the first half. Martin totaled 11 points, eight assists, five rebounds, two blocked shots and a steal in Tuesday's 62-57 win over Saint Anselm. Martin earns Ace's Athlete of the Week honors for the first time this season (fifth career).

Ace has named senior Emily Knox (Worcester, Massachusetts/Notre Dame Academy) from the women's cross country program as the Champions Choice Stonehill Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Knox posted Stonehill's third All-America finish at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships in as many years, earning the honors for the first time in her career by crossing the finish line 27th in the field of 247 competitors. She completed the six-kilometer course in Evansville, Indiana, with a time of 21:34.4, improving her finish from her sophomore and freshman year when she finished 108th and 123rd. respectively. Knox earns Ace's Athlete of the Week honors for the third time this year (fourth career).

Week Ending November 12, 2017

Ace has named sophomore Kaitlin Kotfila (Hadley, Massachusetts/Hopkins Academy) from the equestrian program as the Champions Choice Stonehill Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Kotfila led the Skyhawks to a first place team finish in Sunday's show hosted by Boston College and Wellesley College as she earned a blue ribbon for intermediate fences to go with a second place show at intermediate flat. Kotfila posted a third place finish for intermediate fences at the Mount Ida College show on Saturday to go with a fifth place performance on the flat. Kotfila earns Ace's Athlete of the Week honors for the first time in her career.

Ace has named senior Emily Knox (Worcester, Massachusetts/Notre Dame Academy) from the NE10 Champion and nationally-ranked women's cross country program as the Champions Choice Stonehill Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Knox led the Skyhawks back to the NCAA Division II Championships in two weeks by winning the individual title at the NCAA II East Regional in Amherst, New York, on Saturday. She captured the program's third-straight individual title at the event, completing the six-kilometer course in 22:43.6, also earning All-Region honors for the third-straight year, finishing 15-seconds ahead of the second place runner. Knox, who would add USTFCCCA East Region Runner of the Year honors to her NE10 Runner of the Year award two weeks earlier, collects Ace's Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this year (third career).

Ace has named senior middle blocker Katherine Delanty (Smithtown, New York/Smithtown West) from the volleyball program as the Champions Choice Stonehill Female Student-Athlete of the Week. DeLanty notched an impressive 4.09 kills per set this week, recording back-to-back double-doubles against regionally-ranked Southern Connecticut State and LIU Post. She tallied 18 kills in a win over Assumption, while totaling 12 in a victory against Southern Connecticut and 15 versus LIU Post. She also averaged a .362 hitting percentage this week. Up front, she averaged 1.09 blocks per set and from behind the line she averaged 0.64 aces per set. The senior middle blocker was also challenged in the back line as she posted 3.82 digs per set. Delanty, who also earned NE10 Player of the Week honors for her efforts, is named Ace's Athlete of the Week for the second time this season (fourtgh career).

Ace has named senior Emily Knox (Worcester, Massachusetts/Notre Dame Academy), from the NE10 Champion women's cross country program as the Champions Choice Stonehill Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Knox won the program's third-straight individual title at the NE10 Championships in Westfield, Massachusetts, to lead the Skyhawks to their 16th NE10 Championship on Sunday. She completed the six-kilometer course in 21:37.02 to lead the field of 141 competitors by 12 seconds. Knox posts her third All-Northeast-10 Conference finish, marking first team honors for the first time. Knox, who would earn NE10 Runner of the Year accolades, collects Ace's Athlete of the Week honors for the first time this year (second career).

Ace has named senior middle blocker Katherine Delanty (Smithtown, New York/Smithtown West) from the volleyball program as the Champions Choice Stonehill Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Delanty led the Skyhawks to two big wins as she averaged 3.62 kills per set, while hitting .323, to go with 0.50 service aces, 2.00 digs and 0.62 blocks per set for the week. She hit 316 with 17 kills, two aces, four digs and three blocks (one solo) in Stonehill's 3-1 win at Southern New Hampshire. Delanty added a double-double with 12 kills and 12 digs, while hitting .333 and adding two aces and two blocks in a 3-1 win over Saint Anselm. Delanty earns Ace's Athlete of the Week honors for the first time this season (third career).

Ace has named junior goalkeeper Sara Freedman (Hopkinton, Massachusetts/Hopkinton) from the nationally-ranked field hockey program as the Champions Choice Stonehill Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Freedman backboned a Skyhawks defense which yielded just one goal in a 2-0 week as she averaged 7.5 saves per game, with a .938 save percentage and 0.50 goals against average over the two games. She posted nine saves, including six in the second half to preserve her fourth shutout of the season in Wednesday's 4-0 victory over Assumption. Freedman followed that up with six stops in Saturday's 4-1 victory at Saint Michael's. She earns Ace's Athlete of the Week honors for the first time this season for her efforts (second career).

Ace has named senior captain Victoria Barbetta (Wesley Chapel, Florida/Saddlebrook Prep) from the regionally-ranked women's tennis program as the Champions Choice Stonehill Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Barbetta posted a combined 3-0 record in singles and doubles play in a 2-0 week for the Skyhawks. Was a double-winner in Saturday's 9-0 triumph over Saint Anselm as she and freshman Isabelle Porter posted a 9-8 (7-5) win at No. 1 doubles and then Barbetta added a dominant 6-1, 6-0 triumph over Jess Perkins, the region's #4-ranked singles player at No. 1 singles. She also cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles in Wednesday's 8-1 win over Franklin Pierce. In addition to earning Ace's Athlete of the Week honors for the first time in her career, Barbetta was also named the NE10's Athlete of the Week for her efforts.

Ace has named freshmanIsabelle Porter (Jupiter, Florida/William T. Dwyer) from the regionally-ranked women's tennis program as the Champions Choice Stonehill Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Porter combined with senior Victoria Barbetta (Wesley Chapel, Florida/Saddlebrook Prep) to reach the semifinal round of the doubles championship at the ITA East Regional in Flushing, N.Y., marking the deepest run at the event in program history. Porter was a combined 10-2 in singles and doubles play for the week, also reaching the Round of 16 in the singles championship as well, matching the deepest singles run in program history as well, qualifying for the main draw with two qualifying round wins on Friday. She was also a double-winner in the Skyhawks lone dual match of the week, a 9-0 win over New Haven, with points at No. 1 doubles and No. 3 singles.  Porter, who earns her first Ace's Athlete of the Week honor, was also named the NE10 Rookie of the Week for her efforts.

Ace has named sophomore Alexandra Vo (Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania/Nazareth Academy) from the regionally-ranked women's tennis program as the Champions Choice Stonehill Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Vo led the Skyhawks to a 3-0 week as she posted a combined 6-0 record in singles and doubles play. She teamed up with sophomore Annelise Howick (Jacksonville, Florida/Creekside) to record a 3-0 mark at No. 2 doubles, while also posting a 3-0 record at No. 2 singles. She was a double-winner in Skyhawks wins over Division I Holy Cross on Tuesday and then in a key early season NE10 win over Adelphi on Saturday. She also picked up singles and doubles wins at Saint Michael's on Sunday to close out the week. Vo earns Ace's Athlete of the Week honors for the second time in her career.

Ace has named junior All-American Kacie Smith (Norwood, Massachusetts/Norwood) from the nationally-ranked field hockey program as the Champions Choice Stonehill Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Smith had a hand in seven of Stonehill's nine goals in Friday night's 9-0 win over American International College in the Skyhawks lone game of the week. She tallied a career-high 11 goals on a career-best four goals and three assists in the win, playing a role in each of the Skyhawks first six goals with four goals and two assists over the opening 38-minutes of the contest. Smith potted her first hat trick of the year in the first half and then added her fourth marker three minutes into the second half. Smith, who was also named the NE10 and Longstreth/NFHCA Division II Offensive Player of the Week for her efforts, earns Ace's Athlete of the Week honors for the second time in her career.

Ace has named freshman Jessica Givens (Albuquerque, New Mexico/St. Pius X) from the volleyball program as the Champions Choice Stonehill Female Student-Athlete of the Week. Givens earned All-Tournament team honors at the season-opening Skyhawk Invitational over the weekend as she averaged 11.3 assists, 0.30 service aces, 1.70 digs and 0.70 blocks per set as Stonehill posted a 2-1 mark at the event. She opened her collegiate career with 42 assists, 12 digs, two block assists and service ace in a four set setback to Shepherd on Friday night. Givens follwed that up with 32 assists, two aces and a block assist in a win over Dominican, and then added 39 assists and a block assist in a win over Bloomfield. Givens earns her first Ace's Athlete of the Week award.
