After Assumption drew a five-minute power play at 5:36 in the second frame, Stonehill was able to fend off the Greyhounds' eight shots. The shot advantage was reversed in the second period, as the Greyhounds totaled 18 shots to the Skyhawks eight.
Both teams were shorthanded on and off during the start of the third period, as neither team was able to put a tally on the board.
