BURLINGTON, Vt. (September 3, 2022)- The Stonehill women's cross country team kicked off their 2022 campaign by running in the Vermont Invitational Saturday afternoon. The Skyhawks ended up finishing fourth place while Dartmouth took home first, followed by UMass Amherst, UMass Lowell, and Vermont in second, third, and fifth place respectively.
Highlights
- Victoria Lombardi led the way for the Skyhawks recording a top-10 finish (ninth) with a time of 18:45.90.
- Not far behind was Emma Lawrence who was the other top-15 finisher for Stonehill as she crossed the line at 14th place in 19:13.10.
- Just a few spots later, Elizabeth Marshall grabbed 16th place with a finish of 19:15.00. In her collegiate debut, Jordan Malloy ran a time of 19:20.50 which was good for 18th place.
Other Performances
- Jillian Callahan finished 36th at 20:19.80 and right behind her while also making her collegiate debut was Ava Cote in 37th place with a time of 20:20.10.
- Caitlin Swanson and Caroline Surrette saw 41st and 48th place finishes with times of 20:33.70 and 21:01.80 respectively.
- Olivia Young was Stonehill's third runner making her collegiate debut and finished with a time of 21:18.90 (54th place).
