WALLINGFORD, Conn. (October 15, 2024) – Stonehill College improved by two spots in the team standings on the final day of the 2024 Quinnipiac Classic behind solid play throughout its lineup for a ninth-place finish at the Quinnipiac Classic on the 6,069-yard, par-72 layout at The Farms Country Club were completed today.
Sophomore
Helen Brodahl led the Stonehill improvement from day one of the tournament by shooting a three-over-par round of 75 in today's third round, vaulting 12 spots up the individual leaderboard for a 16
th place finish with her combined score of 236 (77-84-75). She started her final round on the 13
th hole and carded two birdies at the front and back ends of her round on the par-4 17
th and 11
th holes as part of a true back nine score of one-under-par 35. Brodahl also recorded 12 pars on her scorecard and finished tied for eighth in the field in par-4 scoring at 4.27 (+8).

Brodahl posts a top 20-finish for the second-straight tournament, including her runner-up finish at the Red Flash Invitational last week, giving her three top 20-finishes over her last five events dating back to last season.
Stonehill finished the tournament in ninth place in the 11-team field after improving its team score by 12 strokes from Monday's second round with a score of 323 for a three-round total of 994 (336-335-323). The University of Pennsylvania (305-304-311=920) won the team title by one stroke over Boston College (304-308-309=921), with host Quinnipiac University (314-308-305=927) and St. John's University (304-314-309=927) tied for third.
Penn's Claire Lu earned medalist honors at the tournament with an eight-over-par score of 224 (74-75-75). She finished two shots in front of teammate Bridget O'Keefe (76-75-75=226), Boston College's Cynthia Zhang (75-76-75=226) and Karen Beglin (74-78-74=226) as the trio finished in a three-way tie for second in the field.

- Sophomore Kenna Roman enjoyed a solid finish to her tournament, carding an 80 today to move up four spots to 40th on the final leaderboard with a three-round score of 249 (87-82-80). She recorded 11 pars in her final round today.
- Junior Jaelyn DeBoise finished 47th overall after carding an 83 today for a total score of 257 (85-84-83).
- Freshman Zoe Miller finished 50th overall after a final round 85, recording a birdie on the par-5 12th hole, for a total combined score of 257 (87-85-85). She finished tied for sixth in the field for par-3 scoring at 3.33 (+4).

Sophomore Carol Pignato moved up one spot to 59th overall, cutting eight strokes off her best round on Monday with an 87 today in a round that included a birdie on the par-4 sixth hole, to finish with a 280 total (95-98-87).
- Junior Caitlin Anderson is Stonehill's highest individual competitor, finishing 57th with a score of 276 (96-89-91).
- Senior Mollie Thomas finished 60th overall at 296 (100-100-96).
- Freshman Mary Croteau completed a 61st place finish in her collegiate debut, competing as an individual, with a final score of 298 (105-93-100).
- Junior Cheyenne Couture rounded out a 62nd place finish overall at 308 (111-93-104).
