Conte made four of her five stops in the first half for Stonehill before it grabbed the lead 6:49 into the second quarter.
  • McGrory, who scored the game winner in overtime against Rider University on Friday, potted a second consecutive Stonehill goal when she directed a cross from Bickford on the right side that caught Schalow off her line, into an open cage with 8:11 remaining in the first half.
  • Stonehill's defensive trio of sophomore Julieta D'Antonio and freshmen Jill Miller and Tia-May Harlos all provided support of Conte, limiting Saint Louis to four shots, including one on target, and no penalty corners in the second half to make the McGrory goal hold up.
Noteworthy
  • Stonehill improves to 3-0 in its home games this season, including its two designated home games at neutral sites with this afternoon's home game hosted at Dedham Field today where the Skyhawks have posted a 2-0 record over the last two seasons.
  • Conte posted her third career shutout this afternoon in her 44th career start. She enters next week ranked fourth in program history with 349 career saves – just four behind Dani Ryder, '08 (353) for third all-time.
  • McGrory now shares the team lead with her three goals this season along with sophomore Tyra Stark and the duo are tied for ninth among Northeast Conference goal scoring leaders. McGrory's team-high eight points are tied for tenth in the NEC.
  • This afternoon marked the second meeting all-time between Stonehill and Saint Louis, with the Skyhawks avenging a one-goal loss (2-1) against the Billikens in Missouri two years ago.
