Box Score NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Oct. 18, 2025) – The Stonehill football team dropped a road non-conference game against Yale at the Yale Bowl Saturday afternoon, falling by a score of 47-7.
The Skyhawks finish the non-conference portion of its schedule 2-5 and are 1-1 in the NEC with five conference games remaining. Yale moves to 3-2 (1-1 Ivy League).
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS:
- Charles Battaglia, who led the way with 12 tackles in the first half, paced the Stonehill defense with 14 tackles. His 14 stops is a new career-high for Battaglia.
- Richard Mosley III also established a career-best in tackles, making 10 stops.

- Logan Chenette had nine punts for a 38.0 average, including a long kick of 52 yards.

- Aidan Garrett scored the first touchdown of his career in the fourth quarter on a 1-yard TD rush.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Yale got on the board with a 26-yard field goal by Noah Piper to go up, 3-0, at the 9:24 mark. The Bulldogs found the endzone in the final seconds of the first quarter, as Josh Pitsenberger rushed for a six-yard TD to make it 10-0. In the second, Wilhelm Daal scored on a 25-yard touchdown dash, as the Bulldogs extended their lead to 17-0 at 14:05 of the second. Piper added a second field goal in the first half, connecting on another 26-yarder with 4:57 remaining, 20-0. Busa had a third FG-attempt through the uprights this time from 39 yards, with 20 ticks left on the clock in period two, 23-0.
In the second half, Pitsenberger had a one-yard TD midway at 9:55 of the third quarter, 30-0, and then Dante Reno connected with Jaxton Santiago for a 48-yard TD pass midway through the frame. 37-0.
Aidan Garrett dashed into the endzone for a 1-yard touchdown in the fourth, as Stonehill capped the scoring on the day for both teams, 47-7.
UP NEXT:
Stonehill (2-5, 1-1 NEC) will remain on the road and travel to Erie, Pa., to take on Mercyhurst (3-4, 2-0 NEC) in an NEC contest on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 12 p.m.
