Box Score ERIE, Pa. (Oct. 25, 2025) – The Stonehill football team picked up its second NEC victory of the season, earning a 22-15 over Mercyhurst at Saxon Stadium Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Skyhawks move to 2-1 in the NEC and 3-5 overall, while the Lakers slip to 2-2 in league play and 3-6 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Stonehill received the ball first and went on a 7-play. 66-yard opening drive, culminating with a 23-yard touchdown reception from
Jack O'Connell to
Torance Washington, Jr. at the 11:14 mark of the first quarter to give the Skyhawks a 6-0 edge. Later in the opening frame, O'Connell found
Zachary Kim in the left corner of the endzone for a 14-yard score, as Stonehill went up, 13-0, at 3:30.
The Skyhawks added to their lead early in the second when
Domenic Scalese drilled a 19-yard field goal with 10:11 remaining in the first half, 16-0.
Mercyhurst answered with a 21-yard TD strike from Adam Urena to Ayron Rodriguez at 6:47 of the second, 16-7. Scalese connected on a second field goal, this time from 44 yards out, with 11 seconds remaining on the clock to give Stonehill a 19-7 edge going into the break.
Scalese hit his third field goal of the game with 2:52 left to go in the fourth, making a 26-yarder to make it 22-7. With less than a minute to play, Urena found Joe Kerbacher for a six-yard TD pass, as Mercyhurst got back to within one score, 22-15.
