NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. (Oct. 31, 2025) – The Stonehill field hockey team went on the road and earned a 3-0 win at Merrimack in the regular-season finale Friday afternoon at Martone-Mejail Field.
The Skyhawks collected their second shutout of the season and had three different players scores goals, as Stonehill finishes the 2025 campaign 5-4 in the NEC and 5-13 overall. The Warriors fall to 3-6 in the NEC and 3-14 overall.
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS:
- Senior Sarah Latham scored the game-winning goal and first of the season in her final game at Stonehill.
- Freshman Isabelle Morton made four saves to give her 105 stops for the year, good for eighth most for a single season in program history.
- Sophomore Maia Kimball also netted her first goal of the season in the win over Merrimack.
- Sophomore Delaney Wojnarowicz tallied her second goal of the fall in the fourth quarter.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Skyhawks took a 1-0 lead in the first quarter when
Sarah Latham found the back of the net at the 11:55 mark of the opening frame.
Late in the fourth,
Maia Kimball get Stonehill a 2-0 edge when she tallied a goal with 3:23 remaining in the contest. Moments later,
Delaney Wojnarowicz got into the scoring act for the Skyhawks, upping the lead to 3-0 with 1:12 left to play.
Stonehill outshot Merrimack, 16-10, and owned the edge in penalty corners, 6-4.
