Box Score NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (Nov. 8, 2025) – The Stonehill football team fell on the road at Central Connecticut State by a score of 40-10 at Arute Field Saturday afternoon.
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS:
- Aidan Garrett rushed 12 times for 66 yards for the Skyhawks.

- Cole Clarke caught his first touchdown of the season.

- Alijah Turner amasses 123 all-purpose yards (84 kick return, 39 receiving).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Skyhawks won the coin toss but elected to defer to the second half. CCSU scored on its first possession, going 78 yards on 12 plays, culminating with a three-yard TD rush by Eljiah Howard at 8:49, 7-0. The Blue Devils tacked on another score later in the opening frame when Donny Marcus dashed into the endzone for an 11-yard run at 4:23, 14-0. At the end of the 1st, Jack Hennessey hit a 30-yard field goal, as CCSU upped its lead to 17-0.
Stonehill got on the scoreboard with 2:49 remaining in the half, when
Cole Clarke caught an 11-yard TD pass from
Jack O'Connell, making it 23-7.
On the opening drive of the second half,
Domenic Scalese connected on a 28-yard field goal to make it a two-score game, 26-10, at the 8:48 mark. CCSU answered with a TD pass and catch from Brady Olson to Sean O'Brien at 5:30, 33-10.
