Stonehill Football Announces 12-Game Slate for 2025 Season

Skyhawks’ 12-game schedule features five home games, including their home opener on Sept. 6 against Lafayette at W.B. Mason Stadium

EASTON, Mass. (February 20, 2025) – The Stonehill College football team and head coach Eli Gardner announced its 12-game 2025 Northeast Conference and non-conference schedule on Thursday.

Stonehill's fourth NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) schedule, 38th in program history, is comprised of five home games at W.B. Mason Stadium, seven away games, seven Northeast Conference games, and five non-conference matchups. Of its seven NEC games, three will be hosted by the Skyhawks in Easton, Mass., while two of the five non-conference contests will also be at W.B. Mason Stadium.

The 2025 home slate features the Skyhawks taking on the Lafayette College Leopards for the second season in a row on Saturday, September 6, in their home opener, followed by another non-conference matchup against the University of Pennsylvania on Saturday, September 20. The Skyhawks and Quakers will face off in a first-ever meeting, and it will also be Stonehill's first game against an Ivy League opponent.

The final three home games will be NEC contests, as the league announced its conference slate earlier this week. The Skyhawks will host the LIU Sharks on Saturday, Oct. 11, before welcoming Robert Morris on November 1. Stonehill closes out its season against Saint Francis University on Saturday, November 22, in Easton. Promotional games such as Homecoming and Family Weekend will be announced in the near future, along with season and single-game ticket options.

Stonehill will begin its 2025 slate on the road, traveling to Fairfield, Conn., to take on former NEC foe Sacred Heart on Saturday, August 30. After the Skyhawks home opener against Lafayette, the Skyhawks travel to Orono for a first-ever matchup with the University of Maine at Alfond Stadium on September 13.

The Skyhawks conference opener will be in Pittsburgh, Pa., against the runners-up in the NEC from 2024, Duquesne University, on October 4. The next road test will be another first-ever matchup for the Skyhawks with a trip to New Haven, Connecticut, to take on their second Ivy League opponent of the season, Yale University, on October 18. Stonehill's matchup with the Bulldogs will be the final non-conference game of the season, kicking off a five-game stretch of NEC action.

Stonehill will travel to Erie, Pa., for a first-ever meeting with the NEC's newest member, Mercyhurst University, on October 25. Stonehill closes out its road slate at the reigning NEC Champion and FCS playoffs participant Central Connecticut State on November 8 and at Wagner on November 15.
