Zoe Miller (Hollywood, Northern Ireland) led the way for the Stonehill College women's golf team, carding a 79 (+7) after round one of the Hammock Beach Invitational, hosted at the Hammock Beach Golf Resort by Purdue Fort Wayne Thursday afternoon.
Tied for 16th in the field of 41, Miller's score of 79 marked her second-best score of her collegiate career, one off her career best of 78 posted at the Mercer Invitational on October 28, 2024. After posting a triple bogey on hole one, Miller settled in registering a par on 13 of the final 17 holes on the day.
Stonehill finished day one sixth place in the team standings with a combined score of 335 (+47), with Northeast Conference opponent Chicago State, following in seventh at 336 (+48). Indiana State leads the tournament after day one with a 12-over-par score of 300, leading host Purdue Fort Wayne by six strokes (306/+18). Illinois-Chicago sits in third place combining for a team score 314 (+26), while Bryant (330/+42) and Bethune-Cookman (334/+46) round out the top five in the team standings.

- Sophomore Helen Brodahl (Portland, Oregon) carded an 83 (+11) to sit tied for 29th in the individual standings. She posted one of the Skyhawks four total birdies on the afternoon on the par-four fifth hole and finished with eight pars on the day.
- Junior Jaelyn DeBoise (Springfield, Massachusetts) ended day one in 32nd after carding an 86 (+14) with a birdie on the 16th and seven pars.
- Sophomores Carol Pignato (Foxborough, Massachusetts) and Kenna Roman (Berlin, Connecticut) rounded out the Skyhawks competitors on the day, finishing tied for 33rd with a score of 87 (+15), respectively.
