MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (April 1, 2025) – The Stonehill College women's golf team competed in the second round of the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge at the Caledonia Golf Club, falling into a tie for 15th place out of 16 teams in the standings.
For the second day in a row, the five Skyhawks combined for a team score of 313 on the par 71 course. The Skyhawks were in 10th place after yesterday's first round but are now tied with Winthrop with a team score of 626. Coastal Carolina remains in first place after finishing the first round in 286 strokes, followed by today's 283-stroke performance, leading second-place Middle Tennessee by 10 with a combined total of 569.
Sophomore
Helen Brodahl (Portland, Ore.) leads the Skyhawks after shooting a 77 (+6) today for a total of 150 strokes (+8), putting her in a tie for 22nd out of 89 golfers. Junior
Jaelyn DeBoise (Springfield, Mass.) had the best round of the day for the Skyhawks, finishing the round in 75 (+4) strokes. DeBoise moved up from 63rd place to a tie for 51st after recording two birdies, six bogies, and 10 pars on Tuesday.
Sophomore
Kenna Roman (Berlin, Conn.) and freshman
Zoe Miller (Hollywood, Northern Ireland) ended the second round one stroke apart as Roman shot a 78 (+7) on Tuesday, and her total now sits at 160 (+18). Roman also had the only Eagle of the day for the Skyhawks, sinking her the ball in three shots on the par-five, 462-yard 15th hole. Miller was +12 (83) on the day, as she's down +19 for the weekend at 161 strokes.
Sophomore
Carol Pignato (Foxborough, Mass.) shot an 87 (+16) for the second day in a row while senior
Mollie Thomas (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) improved on yesterday's first round by six strokes, shooting an 84 (+13) on Tuesday.
