MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (April 2, 2025) – The Stonehill College women's golf team had its best one-day score in program history, shooting a 307 in the third and final round of the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge at the Caledonia Golf Club.
After shooting a 313 in the first two rounds of play, five Skyhawks combined for a program-best round of 307 led by junior
Jaelyn DeBoise (Springfield, Mass.), who had the best round of the weekend for the Skyhawks, shooting a 72 (+1). Stonehill finished the three-day challenge in 15th place with a team score of 933, while Coastal Carolina won with a score of 855.
Six individual golfers shot even or under par after three rounds of action with the University of Evansville's Kate Petrova using a 67 stroke (-4) final round to finish the weekend at -5 to come in first place out of 89 golfers.
Sophomore
Helen Brodahl (Portland, Ore.) had another impressive day on the course, shooting a 74 (+3), finishing the week in a tie for 24th place at +11. DeBoise's great day on the course included a team-best three birdies, which propelled her to a 38th-place finish at +14.
Sophomore
Kenna Roman (Berlin, Conn.) matched DeBoise's three birdies with three of her own, finishing the round in 79 strokes (+8). Freshman
Zoe Miller (Hollywood, Northern Ireland) finished the round in 82 strokes (+15).
Senior
Mollie Thomas (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) had her best round of the weekend with a +12 performance, and sophomore
Carol Pignato (Foxborough, Mass.) also had her best round of the weekend, shooting an 86 (+15).
