BROCKTON, Mass. (April 8, 2025) – The Stonehill College women's golf team celebrated its senior day at the Thorny Lea Golf Club on Wednesday, playing one round on the par-71, 4,835-yard course against Merrimack, Le Moyne, and Bryant on Wednesday.
The Skyhawks celebrated lone senior
Mollie Thomas (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) before the event began, and she finished the round surrounded by her teammates, family, and coaches. Stonehill had nine golfers compete in Wednesday's regular-season finale ahead of Northeast Conference Championships this weekend.
As a team, the Skyhawks placed fourth with a team score of +53, Le Moyne finished third at +49, Bryant came in second at +44, and Merrimack won the event as the Warriors combined for a team score of +34. Individually, Merrimack's
Ava Lucas had the best round of the afternoon, shooting a 76 (+5). Four of the top five finishers were Warriors, all shooting +10 or better.
Sophomore
Kenna Roman (Berlin, Conn.) led the Skyhawks, finishing the round in 82 strokes (+11) as she finished in a tie for sixth place. One stroke behind Roman was classmate
Helen Brodahl (Portland, Ore.), who was named an NEC Prime Performer earlier in the day, shooting an 83 (+12) to come in ninth place.
Junior
Jaelyn DeBoise (Springfield, Mass.) was close behind at +14, tying for 13th place, while sophomore
Carol Pignato (Foxborough, Mass.) finished in a tie for 19th place at +16 to round out the top-four finishers on Stonehill.
Thomas finished 18 strokes over par on her final round of golf at Thorny Lea as a Skyhawk, placing 21st.
