EASTON, Mass. (Oct. 12, 2026) – Linebacker Ma'Hkai Wilson of the Stonehill football team has been selected the NEC/Atlantic Tomorrow's Office Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Wilson, a team captain who hails from Waterbury, Conn., recorded a Stonehill season-best 12 tackles, 2.0 tackles for a loss and 1.0 sacks in the 28-7 victory at Sacred Heart Oct. 10. Wilson was also tabbed to FCS FCS National Defensive Player of the Week Honorable Mention for his efforts, while the Skyhawks earned FCS National Team of teh Week accolades for the performance against Sacred Heart.

Joining Wilson as NEC Prime Performers this week are defensive back Trevon Baxter and running back Aidan Garrett. A native of Silver Spring, Md., Baxter forced a fumble and returned it 98 yards for a touchdown against the Pioneers. He also made four tackles and had a quarterback hurry. Garret, a product of Largo, Md., carried the ball 16 times for 106 yards, a team-high for the season.

Stonehill is 2-4 overall (1-0 NEC) and will host Duquesne (1-4, 0-1 NEC) Saturday, Oct. 17 at 12 p.m.
