EASTON, Mass. (Oct. 27, 2026) – Sophomore Isabelle Morton of the Stonehill field hockey team has been chosen as the NEC Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced.

Morton, a native of Bath, England was also tabbed the conference's top defender of the week on Sept. 1. She recorded six saves in Stonehill's key victory over Rider on Oct. 23, including three in overtime, and she stopped three of six penalty stroke attempts, as the Skyhawks held off the Broncs, 2-1.

In addition, Morton was tabbed an NEC Prime Performer, as was junior Siena De Roeck. De Roeck, a produce of Brecht, Belgium, tallied the game-winning goal in penalty strokes and netted a goal on a penalty stroke in regulation in the win over Rider.

Stonehill visits Quinnipiac in the regular-season finale on Friday, Oct. 30 at 1 p.m. A Skyhawk victory would clinch a spot in the upcoming NEC tournament.
