NEW HAVEN, Conn. (Oct. 9, 2026) – The Stonehill field hockey team went on the road and emerged with a 2-1 victory in overtime at New Haven at Ralph F. DellaCamera Stadium Friday afternoon.
The win improves the Skyhawks to 3-7 overall (3-1 NEC), while the Chargers fall to 1-9 (0-4 NEC).
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS:
- Siena De Roeck tallied the game-winning goal, her first of the season.

- Teagan O'Donnell extends her point-scoring streak to four games with a goal. O'Donnell leads the team with nine points on three goals and three assists.
- Delaney Wojnarowicz assisted on the game's first goal.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Less than six minutes into the game,
Delaney Wojnarowicz sent a pass to
Teagan O'Donnell, who put a shot into the back of the net on a goal on the transition, to make it 1-0 Skyhawks at 5:55. New Haven tied the game later in the frame off a penalty corner when Emma Beaujouan tallied a goal at the 12:11 mark.
The game remained knotted, 1-1, until 68:56 of overtime when
Siena De Roeck played the ball towards the New Haven net. The attempt trickled in to give the Skyhawks the 2-1 sudden victory.
Stonehill led in shots, 11-4, and penalty corners, 5-4, to collect the first road victory of the season.
