EASTON, Mass. (April 9, 2026) – The Stonehill College athletics department welcomed members of the Classes of 2026 and 2027 on Thursday evening at the Shields Science Center for the institution's second annual Chi Alpha Sigma Induction Ceremony.
Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society, is a nonprofit organization with 498 active chapters nationwide. Founded in 1996 by then DePauw University head football coach Nick Mourouzis, the society recognizes student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically, while fostering lifelong connections through a shared commitment to achievement.
To be inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, student-athletes must be members of a varsity team at a four-year accredited institution affiliated with the NCAA or NAIA. Inductees must also have achieved junior academic standing after their fourth full-time semester and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
