HOW IT HAPPENED
Stonehill took control early and never looked back. The Skyhawks got on the board in the second inning when freshman Julianna Alicea scored on a wild pitch
After the Knights evened the score in the home half of the second, the Skyhawk bats came alive with a seven-run third inning. Senior catcher
Jessica Brill delivered the crushing blow with a three-run home run to left-center field. Murillo followed later in the inning with a two-run single, and additional runs scored on a fielder's choice off the bat of sophomore
Sarah Taylor to extend the lead to 8-1.
The firepower kept coming as Stonehill pushed across another four runs in the top of the fourth. Murillo struck again lacing a two-run single up the middle to plate Alicea and Brill, before sophomore
Taylor Schoonmaker capped off the inning with an infield single to drive home Murillo and make it 12-1.
