EASTON, Mass. (Sept. 18, 2026) – The Stonehill field hockey team collected a 4-1 win in its home and NEC opener over Merrimack Friday afternoon at W.B. Mason Stadium.
The win moves the Skyhawks to 1-4 (1-0 NEC), while the Warriors fall to 0-6 (0-1 NEC).
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS:
- Teagan O'Donnell scored the first two goals of her career in the victory.
- Julieta D'Antonio converted Stonehill's first penalty stroke of the season for a goal just before halftime. D'Antonio also added an assist on the first goal of the game and had two defensive saves.
- Delaney Wojnarowicz tallied the Skyhawks' first goal of the contest.
- Isabelle Morton recorded six saves in net.
- Head coach Jessica Kennedy collects her first win at Stonehill and as a Division I coach.

Stonehill struck quickly as
Delaney Wojnarowicz tapped in a pass from
Julieta D'Antonio connected for the game's first goal only 1:00 into the contest. In the second, the Skyhawks widened the lead to 2-0 when
Tess van Oirschot found
Teagan O'Donnell for a score with 53 seconds remaining in the half. Moments later, D'Antonio converted Stonehill's first penalty stroke of the season to make it 3-0 at 14:52.
In the second half, O'Donnell gave Stonehill a four-goal lead with another tally, this time off an assist by
Havana De Roeck at the 36:47 mark. Merrimack cut its deficit to 4-1 at 40:18 when Erin Cottam found the back of the net.
Stonehill led in shots, 23-11, shots on goal, 15-7, and penalty corners, 8-4.
