Team Defensive Player of the Week (Week 4 vs. Merrimack)
2013: NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll spring semester. Played nine games, starting three. Totaled 36 tackles (12 solo), including 2.5 tackles for a loss of five yards, and 0.5 sacks for a loss of two and a pass breakup. Finished second among Stonehill freshman for tackles. 19 of his stops came against the run, five against the pass and a team-high 11 on kickoff return coverage - to lead the Skyhawks in special teams tackles. Played eight NE-10 games and posted 30 tackles (eight solo), including 2.0 for a loss of five yards, and a half sack and pass breakup. Totaled 19 stops (five solo), including 2.0 for a loss and a half sack in three games played in October. Finished with 12 tackles (six solo), including a tackle assist for a loss and a breakup in three November games. Contributed 22 tackles (four solo), including 2.0 for a loss and a half sack in five home games. Made his collegiate debut in win over Saint Anselm (9/14). Chipped in five tackles (one solo) in win over rival Bentley (9/28). Chipped in three tackle assists, including 1.0 for a loss of three yards, and a half sack for a loss of two against American International (10/5). Posted six stops (two solo) in win at Southern Connecticut State (10/12), also collected a kickoff and returned it 11 yards. Had a season-high ten tackles (three solo) with 1.0 for a loss of two yards in win over LIU Post (10/26). Chipped in two solo stops and a pass breakup in win at Merrimack (11/9). High School: 2013 graduate of Central Catholic High School. Three year letterwinner for coach Chuck Adamopoulos, serving as captain his senior year. Named Eagle Tribune Defensive MVP after leading the Raiders to a 9-2 record his senior year. Earned All-Merrimack Valley Conference first team honors and was voted team MVP as well. Also lettered in track & field.
Personal: Born April 26, 1995, in Methuen, Mass. Son of David and Pat Doherty of Methuen. Has a sister, Ashley (26), and brother, Daniel (17). Majoring in business. Enjoys fishing. Supports the New England Patriots. Lists Tom Brady as a favorite athlete.
