2013: NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll both semesters. Athletic Director's Honor Roll spring semester. Appeared in one game. Part of an offensive line that ranked eighth in the NE-10 in total offense (353.5 yds/gm) and sixth for passing offense (233.7 yds/gm) and scoring (29.2 ppg). The Skyhawks also ranked second in the Conference and 22nd nationally in Division II for red zone offense (86%). Made his collegiate debut in win over Saint Anselm (9/14).
2012: NE-10 Commisioner's Honor Roll both semesters. Athletic Director's Honor Roll for fall semester. Did not see game action.
High School: 2012 high honors graduate of Bishop Moore Catholic High School. Three year letterwinner for coach Matt Hedrick, serving as captain his senior season. Was part of a team that posted a 24-6 record and claimed three straight district titles over his three seasons as an offensive lineman, defensive tackle and nose guard. Team were region runners up his junior year. Played center for the West All-Star team at the Orange County, Florida East/West All-Star Game. Named the Orlando Sentinel Student-Athlete Classroom Star in January 2012. Also lettered in weightlifting and wrestling. Reached the regional finals at the 238-pound weight class for weightlifting his senior year. Earned high honor roll honors eight semesters at BMC. National Honor Society, Rho Kappa Social Studies Honor Society, English and Science Honor Society member. Maintained a 4.0 grade point average over his four years, receiving the Advanced Placement (AP) Scholar Honor Award.
Personal: Born December 19, 1993, in Orlando, Fla. Son of Bob and Helene Welch of Orlando. Has a brother, Nicholas (17). Majoring in finance, with a minor in history. Enjoys going to the beach, snow skiing, boating and reading. Chose Stonehill because of the great combination of academic and athletic opportunities in a Christian environment. Was a member of the Hornets House of Representatives for four years, Hornets Leadership Team for three years and Hornets Peer Ministry Team for one year at his high school. Has logged over 200 hours of community service. An Altar Server at St. James Cathedral in Orlando for eight years.
