High School: 2013 graduate of Monsignor Donovan High School. Three year letterwinner for coach Dan Duddy, serving as team captain as a senior. Helped lead the Griffins to the B-South Championship his senior year and earned the team's Most Improved Player Award. Elected to play and then be captain of the Ocean County team in the U.S. Army All-Shore Gridiron Classic. Started on the offensive line all three years on the varsity team and also played linebacker and long snapper. Earned All-Ocean County honors for offensive line and All-Shore Conferece accolades at linebacker his senior season. Team made New Jersey State playoffs for the first time in ten years his junior year. Won the "Fastest Lineman Award" in Shore Conference his sophomore year. Captained his freshman team to a 9-1-1 record, the best freshman team record in school history.
Personal: Born October 27, 1994, in Brick, N.J. Son of Tom and Linda Farrell. Father is superintendent of Shore Regional High School and West Long Branch school district and mother is a kindergarten teacher. Has a sister, Brianna (19), and brother, Connor (13). His cousin, Matt Tarulli, '09, played football at Stonehill. Majoring in mediated communication, with minors in journalism and English. Chose Stonehill because of the rigorous academics. Supports the Kansas City Chiefs. Lists Priest Holmes as a favorite athlete. Football program's representative for the Stonehill Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and was elected SAAC chair for the 2016-17 academic year. Recipient of a 2017 Class Leadership Award.
