High School: 2011 honors graduate of New Bedford High School. Four year letterwinner for coach Dennis Golden, serving as captain his senior season. Named to the All-Big Three Conference team. Earned the Wayne Souza Award for having the highest GPA on the team. Was named the Whalers Special Teams Player of the Year. Standard & Times Super Team selection and Leadership Award winner. Also lettered in lacrosse and baseball.

Personal: Born March 17, 1993, in New Bedford, Mass. Son of John Brierley and Katherine Brierley of New Bedford. Has a sister, Alexa (17), and four brothers, John (19), Branden (14), Tyler (12) and Logan (9). Majoring in engineering. His greatest sports moment to date is helping New Bedford High School defeat Big Three rival Brockton, 23-21, for the first time in 11 years his senior season. Supports the San Diego Chargers. Lists Jason Whitten as a favorite athlete. Enjoys playing the guitar.
