2013: NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll for fall semester. Appeared in eight games, primarily on special teams. Totaled four tackles (two solo). All four tackles came on kickoff coverage, finishing the year ranked tied for seventh on the team in kickoff tackles. Finished with three tackles (two solo) in seven NE-10 games played. All four stops came in Stonehill's three November games. Made his collegiate debut in win over Bentley (9/28). Posted his first career tackle with a tackle assist in win over Pace (11/2). Posted a season-high two solo tackles in win at Merrimack (11/9). Notched a tackle assist in NE-10 Championship at American International (11/16).
High School: 2013 graduate of Wareham High School. Three year letterwinner for coach Dan Nault, playing quarterback and safety. Earned New Bedford Standard Times Super Team and South Coast Conference All-Star honors as a junior and senior. Was an Otto Graham Award nominee and participated in the Shriner's All-State Game. Also lettered in basketball.
Personal: Born November 4, 1994, in Falmouth, Mass. Son of Anthony Abbott and Sabina Flaherty of Wareham, Mass. Has four sisters, Elise Abbott (16), Emily Abbott (9), Victoria Flaherty (10) and Isabella Flaherty (4). Uncle, Chad Gaucher, played football at Stonehill. Majoring in marketing with a minor in economics. Chose Stonehill because of the campus, people, football program and academic reputation. Enjoys snowboarding. Supports the New England Patriots. Lists Tom Brady as a favorite athlete.
