Stonehill College

2008: Appeared in eight games. Finished thirdin the Northeast-10 in punting average at 36.7. Had five puntsinside the 20 yardline and had two punts over 50 yard. His firstcollegiate punt went 34 yards in the loss to Southern Connecticut(9/19). Had a career-long 57 yard punt in the loss at AmericanInternational (10/11). Also had a 52-yard punt in the win overAssumption (10/25).  

High School: 2008 graduate of Catholic MemorialHigh School. Three-year letterwinner. Also won lettersin hockey and track. Student-Athlete Scholar. Named EasternMass. All-Star. Earned All-Catholic Conference honors in trackand football. 1,000 yard rusher in his senior year.

Personal: Born June 16, 1989 in Boston,Mass. Son of Edward and Mary Rooney of Quincy, Mass. Has foursiblings, Mike (24), Caitlin (22), Emily (18) and Tesence (16).Mother, Mary (Foy) graduated from Stonehill College (1977) andsister, Caitlin, is also a student at Stonehill College.Majoring in criminology. Supports the Toronto Argonauts. Favoriteathlete is Ray Bourque.
