Sport Assignments: Football, Women's Golf and Equestrian

Kayla Cullerton joined the athletic department in August 2021 as the Head Football Athletic Trainer within the sports medicine department at Stonehill.  Her primary sport assignments are with the Skyhawks’ Football, Men’s and Women’s Track & Field, Women’s Equestrian and Women’s Golf teams.
 
Cullerton joins the Skyhawks after a two-year stint at Becker College where she was the Associate Athletic Trainer from July 2019 – March 2020 and promoted to Director of Sports Medicine from March 2020 – July 2021.  She was also working as the Associate Head Athletic Trainer for the Massachusetts Pirates professional indoor football team from October 2020 – July 2021.
 
Kayla is also the primary Athletic Trainer for Woonsocket High School in Rhode Island, her alma mater, where she helps mostly during the winter months.
 
Cullerton has previously worked at Bryant University from 2018 – 2019 with the Bulldogs’ football team and Providence College from 2016 – 2018 with the Friars’ Women’s Soccer, Softball, Women’s Volleyball and Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving teams.
 
Kayla is licensed in Massachusetts and Rhode Island and is a clinical preceptor for Merrimack College, the University of Southern Maine and Lasell University.  She is a member of the Rhode Island Disaster Medical Assistance Team (Medical Reserve Corps) and serves on several National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) boards and task force groups.
 
A 2014 graduate of Syracuse University with a B.S in Health and Exercise Science with a double minor in Coaching and Nutrition, a 2016 graduate of Bridgewater State University with a M.S in Athletic Training, and a 2018 graduate of Providence College with a M.Ed in  Higher Education Mental Health Counseling, Cullerton resides in Walpole, Massachusetts with her fiancé, Phil.
