Kyle Jones will enter his seventh year as an assistant coach for the Stonehill College football team in the fall of 2025 on head coach Eli Gardner's staff. Jones will also enter his his fifth season as defensive coordinator after being promoted in 2020. Along with his work as defensive coordinator, Jones has spent time as the defensive line coach, linebackers coach, and recruiting coordinator. He moved back to serve as a position coach with the Skyhawks linebackers ahead of the 2024 season.
Jones joined head coach Eli Gardner's coaching staff following three seasons as an assistant coach at his alma mater, Western New England University, under coach Keith Emery, serving as position coach for inside receivers and running backs, as well as director of football operations and academic coordinator the last two seasons. He was positional coach for the outside linebackers during the 2015 season.
The Golden Bears posted a 29-5 record over his three seasons on the coaching staff, winning three-straight conference championships to earn NCAA Championship bids all three years. WNE posted back to back undefeated regular seasons in 2015 and 2016, earning national rankings each year, peaking at No. 21 in 2016 when the Golden Bears posted their first NCAA Tournament win in program history during an 11-1 season.
Jones is a 2015 graduate of Western New England, earning a Bachelor's Degree in business admininstration, sport management. He was a four-year letterwinner and three-year varsity starter for the Golden Bears football program at inside linebacker, helping the team win the 2011 New England Football Conference championship. He is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Sports Leadership and Coaching from WNE.
