Stonehill College

Michael Furey, a former outsidelinebacker and three-year letterwinner at Stonehill, is in histhird season on the coaching staff, his second asdefensive backs coach.

In 2007, when he served as adefensive assistant, Furey helped guide a Skyhawk defense thatfinished second in the Northeast-10 in scoring defense and first inturnover margin.

The 2005 team co-captain, Furey wasa three-time recipient of the Mike Carr Chieftain Award, and wasnamed the Most Improved Defensive Player in 2004.

Furey, who graduated Cum Laude witha Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology, resides in South Boston.
