Stonehill College

Mike Hogan is entering his first season as a studentassistant coach with the Stonehill football program. Hogan willwork with the Skyhawks defensive line and special teams units.

Hogan joins the coaching staffafter seeing his playing cut short to injury prior to the 2013season. Despite not playing a down last season, he played a vitalrole mentoring his teammates on their march to the program's bestseason in nearly 20 years as it finished with its first winningseason since 1996 and earned a share of the Northeast-10 Conferenceregular season championship. The Skyhawks played in its first NE-10Championship game and he is given immense credit by All-Americalinebacker Brian Harrington, who would benamed the Joseph P. Zabilski Defensive Player of the Year Awardfrom the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston, for his record breakingseason.

Hogan, who expects to graduate fromStonehill with an accounting degree in May, played 18 games overhis first two seasons with the Skyhawks, earning Northeast-10Conference All-Rookie Team honors as a freshman and NE-10 AcademicAll-Conference honors as a sophomore. He totaled 128 tackles overhis two years, with 5.0 tackles for a loss of ten yards, 1.0 sacks,two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble. Hogan has been named tothe NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and Athletic Director's HonorRoll status five semesters and received the St. Thomas Aquinas,Patron Saint of Students, Medal for having the highest cumulativegrade point average on the team as a sophomore.

Hogan is a native of Westborough,Massachusetts.
