Currently in his ninth season atStonehill, Richard Hart brings nearly 30 years ofcoaching experience to Easton.
In 2013, Hart helped guide theStonehill men's and women's cross country teams to their third andfifth straight Northeast-10 Conference Championships, respectively,while both squads also captured the East Region title and competedat the NCAA Championships.
During Hart's first six years, themen's and women's cross country squads won a combined eightNortheast-10 Conference championships and seven NCAA NortheastRegional titles, finishing no lower than second at either meet, andqualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships everyyear.
Prior to Stonehill, Hart served asan assistant track and field coach at Northeastern University from1999-2004.
Hart, who also serves as a track& field official, has directed several major events, includingassisting with the 2006 NCAA Division II Championships and thefirst-ever track and field event hosted by Stonehill College inApril of 2008.
In addition to his coachingexperience, Hart also taught high school English, history andtheology at Boston-area schools from 1981-2007.
A 1981 graduate of the Universityof Connecticut, he and his wife Rose reside in Norwood with theirtwo children.
