Had three top-ten finishes out of fiveraces. Placed ninth overall in the 3,000-meter at the Reggie PoyauInvitational (12/10/11) in a personal best time of 9:08.82.Finished seventh overall out of 26 competitors at the TuftsStampede (2/4/12) in the 5,000-meter run with a personal best timeof 15:39.47. Ranked 17th overall in the 5,000-meter run at theNortheast-10 Conference (NE-10) Indoor Championships (2/18/12) witha time of 16:28.82. Placed tenth overall in the 3,000-meter run in9:11.07 at the University of New Hampshire Tri-Meet (1/21/12). Rana time of 16:02.11 in the 5,000-meter run in his first-evercollegiate indoor race at the Jay Carisella Invitational(12/3/11).
High School: 2011graduate of East Longmeadow High School. Four-year letter winnerfor head coach Ryan Corbett. Finished third overall in WesternMass. Cross Country Championships. Served as captain in senioryear. Personal bests include a 16:04 in the 5-kilometer and 4:33 inthe mile. Placed second in the mile in the Western Mass.Championships his senior year in indoor track. Honors student. Alsoserved as captain on indoor and outdoor track and field teams.
Personal: Born onNovember 11, 1993 in Syracuse, N.Y. Son of Kristin James andMichael Bagan. Has three sisters, Gabby (12), Sophia (8) andMalaine (13). Majoring in spanish with aspirations to teach thelanguage at a university.
