Biography

2013:  NE-10Commisioner's Honor Roll both semesters.Athletic Director's Honor Roll bothsemesters.  Startedevery game of the season for Stonehill in her senior campaign. Hit.204 (23-for-113) with 12 walks, four doubles, six RBI, six stolenbases, and 23 runs scored. Played excellent defense for Stonehillduring the year, making just one error in 98 chances. She madecountless diving catches and threw out nine runners from centerfield. Posted her first hit of the season in Stonehill’s 9-1loss to West Virginia Wesleyan College (3/2/13). Went 2-for-4 andscored a run in a 14-8 loss to Young Harris College (3/3/13).Scored a run in back-to-back-to-back games against ConcordiaCollege, Findlay University, and Post University (3/5/13 –3/6/13). Notched two hits and scored a run during Stonehill’s6-1 victory over Post (3/6/13). Registered two hits and scoredthree runs during a two-game sweep of Bloomfield College (3/16/13).Went 1-for-3, scored a run, and tallied one outfield assist duringa 6-5 loss to Adelphi (3/24/13). Collected her first RBI of theseason in a 1-for-3 performance during a 6-5 victory over BentleyUniversity (3/27/13). Went 2-for-4 with one RBI and one run scoredduring Stonehill’s 10-1 win over Saint Michael’s(3/30/13). Hit two doubles, scored two runs, recorded one RBI, andthrew a runner out at the plate in an 11-7 victory over AssumptionCollege (4/7/13). Recorded an outfield assist, a double, and a runduring a 9-1 victory over Franklin Pierce (4/21/13). Went 2-for-4with a double, a run scored, and three RBI in a 12-8 win overFranklin Pierce (4/25/13). Scored one run in each of the finalthree games of the regular season. Threw a runner out at the plateto keep the game tied at 1-1 during the NE-10 Tournament SecondRound game against the University of New Haven (5/2/13).

2012: Northeast-10Conference (NE-10) Commissioner's Honor Roll (SpringSemester). Appeared in and started in all 39 gamesfor the Skyhawks on the season. Made all 39 starts in centerfield.Batted in the second spot in the lineup 34 times, three times inthe eighth-slot and twice as the number nine hitter in the order.When batting as the two-hole hitter in the lineup, Stonehill posteda 20-14 record overall. Batted .263 (31-for-118) on the year with27 runs (sixth best all-time in a single-season), one double and 15runs batted in. Posted a .271 slugging percentage, drew nine walks,had an on-base percentage of .310 and was perfect in stolen basesattempts going 7-for-7. Led the team and the Northeast-10Conference in sacrifice hits with 12 and also notched two sacrificefly outs. Had six multi-hit games and two multi-RBI contests.Compiled a .972 fielding percentage in 71 chances (64 putouts, fiveassists, two errors). Hit .302 (19-for-63) with runners on-base,.325 with runners in scoring position (13-for-40), .533 with arunner on third and less than two outs (8-for-15) and .310 with twoouts (9-for-29). She also collected six 2-out RBI's andsuccessfully advanced runners on-base at a 63-percent clip in 83opportunities. Had a seven-game hitting streak that spanned fromMarch 16 to March 24. She tallied ten hits during that stretch,scored ten runs, and collected four RBI's. Went 2-for-3 with threeruns batted in against Franklin Pierce on April 3. Stole a pair ofbases against The College of Saint Rose on March 10 in game two ofa doubleheader on March 10. Had a pair of sacrifices againstBentley University on March 20 and Merrimack College (4/11).

2011: Appeared in42 games for Stonehill, 40 starts. Batted .194 (14-for-72) with 11runs scored, four doubles and eight runs batted in. Went 1-for-3 instolen base attempts. Posted a .931 fielding percentage with 51putouts and three assists. Hit .303 (10-for-33) in road games withthree doubles and three runs batted in. Reached base as a leadoffbatter in an inning at a .429 (6-for-14) clip. Had two games withmultiple hits versus Nyack College (3/25) and Saint Anselm College(4/26). Knocked in four runs total in a doubleheader againstBentley University (4/18). Compiled two 3-game hitting streaks onthe season.

2010: Startedall 40 games in her first collegiate season. Hit .285 (35-for-123)with a team-high 23 runs scored and eight doubles with a triple,home run and 14 RBI. Stole four bases on six attempts and committedjust one error, with two outfield assists, for a .985 fieldingpercentage. Led the team with 18 walks, posting a .380 on-basepercentage and .390 slugging percentage. Started all 28 NE-10 gamesand hit .270 (24-for-89) with 14 runs scored, six doubles, atriple, home run and six RBI. Committed just one error, with anoutfield assist, for a .981 fielding percentage in NE-10 play. Was2-for-3 with a pair of doubles, a run scored and season-high fiveRBI against California (Pa.) (3/8). Hit 2-for-4 with an RBI and runscored in win over Seton Hill (3/9). Went 1-for-2 with an RBI andtwo runs scored in win over Concordia-St. Paul (3/9). Batted acombined 5-for-8 with a pair of doubles and runs scored indoubleheader split at Saint Michael's (4/1). Was 2-for-4 with adouble, home run, two RBI and runs scored in game one ofdoubleheader sweep of Franklin Pierce (4/7). Finished 2-for-2 witha run scored in game one of split at Assumption (4/11). Hit 2-for-4with a triple and run scored in game one win at Bentley (4/13).Batted 1-for-2 with a pair of walks, a double and RBI in game onewin over Southern Connecticut State (4/19). Drove in two runs witha double in game one win at Pace (4/25).

HighSchool: 2009 graduate of Timberlane Regional HighSchool. Four-year letterwinner and senior year captain. Team wonClass L championship in 2008. Two-time First Team All-Stateselection.

Personal: Born August 7, 1991, Lowell,Mass. Daughter of Thomas Marchand of Danville, Mass. Has abrother, Justin (23), and sister, Shannon (22). Majoring inpsychology. Supports the Tennessee softball team. Lists MeganGibson as her favorite athlete.
