Claire Smith, Stonehill class of 2024, joined Katie Conover's staff as an assistant coach in September 2025. 

Smith played four years for the Skyhawks, serving as a team captain her senior year. She then used her fifth year of eligibility at UNC Charlotte. A talented goalie, Smith finished her career with 262 saves, 75 ground balls, and 42 game appearances.

During her time at Stonehill, Smith helped the Skyhawks to their first Division I playoff home in and their first .5000 Division I season.  In 2024, Smith recorded 167 saves, which ranks third most in a single season in program history. Her career 247 saves at Stonehill stands as the seventh most in school history. Smith was also the first Stonehill women's lacrosse player to collect NEC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Smith earned several academic distinctions during her time at Stonehill. An eight-time Dean's List honoree, Smith was a four-time Northeast-10 Academic Honor Roll choice and a two-time NEC Academic Honor Roll selection. She was tabbed four times to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division I Academic Honor Roll and was a College Sports Communicators (CSC) All-Academic Team member.

A member of the Lambda Epsilon Sigma Honor Society and the Upsilon Phi Delta Honor Society, Smith is pursuing her MBA at Massachusetts.
