Stonehill College women’s basketball head coach Trisha Brown has announced the hiring of former Skyhawk All-NEC selection Emily Bramanti ’23 as an assistant coach ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
“We are thrilled to welcome Emily Bramanti back home!,” said coach Brown. “As an All-Conference point guard for the Skyhawks, she was our coach on the floor and one of the toughest competitors I have coached. As a player, Emily evaluated the game with a coach’s lens. As an alumna, her experience with and understanding of our program will enhance her strengths as a coach. She brings a tremendous passion for the game and for the coaching profession as she returns to Stonehill.”
A five-year women's basketball student-athlete, Bramanti spent her entire career with the Skyhawks. A three-year captain, she led her team to a national ranking in their final two years as a Division II team (2020-22) with two appearances at the NCAA Tournament. In her final year as a Skyhawk, she was named NEC First Team All-Conference following the completion of the team's first season as a Division I team.
Bramanti spent the last two seasons at Albany, most recently as assistant coach/director of operations with the Great Danes. She was involved in all phases of the day-to-day operations of the women's basketball office and handled office and team budgetary matters, team travel, and assisted in the operations of Albany’s annual basketball camp.
During her two years at Albany, the Great Danes won more than 20 games in both seasons and reached the WNIT and WBIT for postseason play. In her first season with the Great Danes, Bramanti served as the director of recruiting and video and was in in charge of organizing the team's community service efforts and assisting in the coordination of all social media efforts, recruiting, and alumni relations.
Prior to joining the Great Danes' coaching staff, Bramanti graduated from Stonehill in May 2023. During her time as a student, she worked with multiple different organizations as a basketball instructor. Working as a coach or instructor for the New England Playmakers, Westford Academy Basketball Camp, and Dana Barros Elite, most of the players she worked with were on the cusp of their high school careers.
A native of Chelmsford, Mass., Bramanti holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Communication from Stonehill.
