Eric Clark

Eric Clark enters his 10th season with the Stonehill softball team for the 2023-24 season as an assistant coach on Head Coach Ali Maloof's staff. Clark joined Stonehill in 2014 as an assistant coach for the late Ken LeGrice, who led the Skyhawks until his passing in May of 2021 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

The Stonehill softball team was presented with the athletic department's Community Service Award in 2019 for its work with Strikeout Cancer. LeGrice coached 21 AlI-NE10 selections, including five first team picks, and saw five freshmen earn NE10 All-Rookie Team
In 2019, Clark was about of a coaching staff that led the team back to double-digit wins for a 15-24 overall record and an 11-16 NE10 mark. Juniors Michelle Theilgard '21 and Genna Hartman '21 were voted to the NE10 All-Conference second team. The squad also received the 2019 Stonehill Community Service Award for their dedication to raising money for the NFCA Strikeout Cancer event. For the two years that the team has raised money, the program has collected over $7,000 for cancer research.

The 2018 season saw a 8-31 overall record and a 7-22 NE10 mark. Clark coached freshmen Michelle Theilgard '21 and Hannah Ricker '21 to the NE10 All-Rookie team, while Theilgard also earned NE10 All-Conference third team honors.

Clark was an assistant for the 2017 team that finished with an 11-30 record and a 9-15 mark in NE10 play. The Skyhawks recorded five shutouts in the season and Michelle Carbone '17 was named to the NE10 All-Conference second team for the second-straight season.
She will also left her mark as her name was etched in the school records in 12 categories.

Clark helped lead Stonehill to its fifth-consecutive 20-win season in 2016, as the Skyhawks finished 23-17 overall and 19-8 in NE10 play. The Skyhawks earned the No. 2 seed in the NE10 Tournament and faced No. 3 seeded Adelphi University, where the Panthers began the game with a 6-0 lead, and the Skyhawks were only able to get five runs in two innings falling in the second-round matchup. Alison Sumski '16 and Megan Staudle '16 were named to the NE10 All-Conference first team, while Michelle Carbone '17 and Sarah Ropiak '16 were named to the second team. Senior Megan Ruonavaara '16 earned Academic All-District I first team honors.

In 2015, Clark was apart of the staff that guided Stonehill to another 20 win season, as the Skyhawks finished 21-15 overall and 13-8 in the Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) play. The Skyhawks earned the #2 seed in the NE-10 Tournament and recieved a bye into the second round. From there they upended #3 seeded Southern Connecticut State University, 1-0, before falling in the conference semifinals to the #1 seed Adelphi University, 2-0. At the conclusion of the regular-season, Sarah Ropiak was named to the All-NE-10 Third Team.

Clark joined the Stonehill staff in 2014 and assisted the Skyhawks to their third consecutive 20-win campaign as Stonehill went 20-25 overall and 14-15 in Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) play. When he's not in the dugout coaching the Skyhawks, Clark works for the Brockton Police Department as a detective.
