Max Silverman

Max Silverman joins the Stonehill College athletic department in February of 2025 as he was named Assistant Director of Athletics for Recreational Sports and Varsity Programs. In his role, Silverman will work with the club sports programs at Stonehill, manage intramural sports, and assist with gameday management for various varsity sports.

Silverman begins his tenure at Stonehill after spending the past two years as the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation at the College of Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. While at Westfield State, Silverman was a graduate assistant in the Owls athletic department while also being a graduate resident director. Silverman was also an intern at 3STEP Sports in the summer of 2022 prior to arriving on campus at Westfield State.

Silverman boasts coaching experience on top of his experience in athletic administration, spending time as a Head Coach and Site Director of the Connecticut Capitals AAU baseball program. He also spent time coaching at the Show Baseball and Softball Academy in Lawrence, Mass. from 2020-2022.

Silverman played four seasons of baseball at Saint Anselm while acquiring his bachelor's degree in Secondary Education, appearing in 64 games with 44 starts for the Hawks, primarily playing the catcher position. He tallied 42 hits, two home runs, and 21 runs batted in with a .253 career batting average in his career at Saint A's. In his graduate season at Westfield State, Silverman hit .290 with four home runs and 32 RBI in 39 games for the Owls.
