Sultar returns for his 4th season with the Stonehill baseball staff as the Skyhawks’ Pitching Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. He came to Stonehill for the start of the Division 1 transition after a successful stint as the pitching coach at West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, N.C., and a standout playing career at Endicott College.
Coach Sultar oversees all aspects of the Skyhawks’ pitching staff, including arm care, throwing programs, strategic individualized development plans, scouting, and in-game management. He also plays a key role in recruiting, evaluating prospective student-athletes, coordinating recruiting efforts, and building future classes that align with the program’s vision.
Sultar brings a proven pitching development system centered on building the growth of complete pitchers — physically, mentally, and competitively. His approach emphasizes long-term development while preparing athletes to succeed at the next level.
During his two years at West Forsyth, Sultar’s pitching staff emerged as one of the top units in the state. His pitchers committed to six Division I programs, three Division II programs, and one junior college, with one standout selected in the 2022 MLB Draft. His 2022 staff posted elite numbers: a 2.29 ERA, 247 strikeouts against just 62 walks, a 0.96 WHIP, and only 88 hits allowed over 156 innings. West Forsyth advanced to the NCHSAA 4A state quarterfinals, finishing the season with a 25-6 record after falling in a narrow 4-3 battle to the eventual state champion.
As a player, Sultar competed at Endicott College from 2015–2019, earning a bachelor’s degree in Finance. His senior season with the Gulls began with 17 consecutive scoreless innings, and he finished the year with a 1.89 ERA, garnering 2nd Team All-CCC honors. Sultar also holds a master’s degree in Sport Leadership from Endicott, which he earned in 2022, further strengthening his ability to mentor and guide student-athletes both on and off the field.
