Albany, N.Y.
- The Skyhawks allowed three Joe Hunt goals in the
final 17 minutes and managed eight shots on goal as they lost to
St. Rose 5-1 on Saturday. Stonehill gave up five goals for
the second consecutive match as they fell 4-8-2 and 1-8-1 in NE-10

Justin Paden started the scoring off in the 29th minute when he
trapped a Hunt pass and slipped a shot past keeper Brandon
McFarlane (Norwich, Conn.) for the early 1-0
lead.
Liam Barret got in the act five minutes later when he pushed a
pass through the box to Scott Couch who found the near-top corner
to give the Golden Knights a 2-0 advantage going into the half.
Stonehill stepped up the pressure in the second half and the effort
finally paid off in the 71st minute when sophomore fullback
Kevin Moroney (Medway, Mass.) knocked home a loose
ball in front of the net to cut the lead in half.
However, Saint Rose increased their lead at the 73:20 mark, when
Hunt took a pass from freshman forward Taras Panchinshak and
ripped a shot past McFarlane.
In the 88th minute, Hunt scored his second goal of the game on a
pass from William Miller Jr. and he finished off the scoring on a
breakaway with just four seconds remaining.
McFarlane had three saves in net for the Skyhawks and Stonehill
had eight shots on St. Rose keeper Patrik Ohlsson.
The Skyhawks return to action when they host New Haven on
Wednesday at 3:30 pm.
