Lowell, Mass.  - Junior forward Shaun Keeley (Woburn, Mass.) had a goal and an assist  the Skyhawks and UMass Lowell played to a 3-3 deadlock Saturday afternoon in a Northeast-10 Conference men's soccer clash at Cushing Field.

River Hawk Matt Dubois opened the scoring in the seventh minute when he tapped in a rebound off a Brandon McFarlane save of a Stephen Potcner shot.

Stonehill knotted the score in the 22nd minute when junior Ben Irzyk (Wakefield, R.I.) took a touch from Keeley on the right side of the box, turned and volleyed a shot into the top left corner of the goal.

Dubois gave the River Hawks a 2-1 lead just over two minutes later when he beat a Stonehill defender on the left side and bent his right-footed attempt inside the far post.

Jamie Wangia gave UMass Lowell a 3-1 cushion just 11 minutes later when his header off a volley from Rudy Kocandrle beat McFarlane.

Keeley cut the deficit to 3-2 five minutes into the second half, when his header off a scramble in the box following a Michael Bridges (Sandwich, Mass) free kick found the back of the net.

Stonehill drew even with just six minutes remaining, when sophomore midfielder Todd Shigo (Naples, Maine) launched a free kick from the left side to sophomore Tyler Hebert (Rockland, Mass.) on the right side of the six-yard box, who settled it and fired home his first goal of the season.

The River Hawks outshot Stonehill 23-16 and McFarlane stopped 14 shots for the Skyhawks.

With the tie Stonehill moves to 4-9-3 overall and 1-9-2 in the Conference and hosts Merrimack Tuesday at 3:30 for their last home game of the season.
