Kentucky post 3-0 wins over Skyhawks
Sophomore Lauren Huselton totaled 14 kills and 22 digs over
Stonehill's two matches at the Lock Haven Invitational
tonight.

The Stonehill College volleyball
team dropped a pair of three-set decisions on day one of the 2009
Lock Haven University Invitational tonight. Shippensburg University
posted a 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-16) victory in the first match of
the night, before the Skyhawks fell to Northern Kentucky University
3-0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-20) in the nightcap.LOCK HAVEN, Pa.

Sophomore Lauren Huselton
(Penfield, N.Y./Penfield) led Stonehill with seven kills
and 13 digs, while junior Erin Johnson (Centerville,
Mass./Barnstable) added five kills. Sophomore
Michelle Thornhill (Canyon Lake, Calif./Temescal
Canyon) and junior Justine Thompson (Merrimack,
N.H./Bishop Guertin) each led the Skyhawks with 15 digs,
while freshman Erin Kelly (Tinley Park,
Ill./Marist) chipped in with 13 digs. Junior
Andrea Wirth (Mesa, Ariz./St. Mary's) collected 15
assists.
Northern Kentucky
3, Stonehill 0
Erin Johnson and junior
Laura Noonan (Hampstead, N.H./Bishop Guertin) each
collected seven kills. Huselton and Thornhill both had seven digs,
while Wirth finished with 16 assists.
Stonehill (2-2, 0-0 NE-10)
concludes the LHU Invitational tomorrow when it faces host Lock
Haven at 10 a.m., before taking on Molloy College at noon. The
Skyhawks first home match of the season is Saturday, September 26,
when they host Saint Anselm College for a Northeast-10 matchup at 1
p.m.
