EASTON, Mass. (October 4, 2011) – The Stonehill College women's soccer team and Bentley University played to a double-overtime 0-0 tie in Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) action on Tuesday evening at Skyhawk Field.

Sophomore goalkeeper Amy Wheaton (Dartmouth, Mass.) turned away five shots in the contest, with four coming in the second half, to convert her fifth shutout of the season.

Freshmen Christiana Hynds (West Roxbury, Mass./Boston Latin) and Nicole Derba (Franklin, Mass.) made one save each for the Falcons.

Stonehill was edged by Bentley in the shot column, 14-13, but won the corners matchup, 5-2.

Freshman midfielder Maddie Manning (Weymouth, Mass./Weymouth) led the Skyhawks in shots with four including one on goal while Patty McAllister (South Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) fired off three shots with two being stopped by Wheaton.

Stonehill (7-3-2, 5-2-2 NE-10) returns to action on Saturday, October 8 at 2:30 p.m. against American International College in a NE-10 matchup at Skyhawk Field. Bentley (4-6-1, 3-4-1 NE-10) travels to Southern Connecticut State on Saturday for a 1 p.m. game.
