The Details

  • Bentley grabbed an early lead just 2:53 into the contest when senior Amanda Andriano was credited with her first goal of the season when her cross from the right end line was bobbled into the goal by the Stonehill goalkeeper off a through ball from classmate Rebecca Nguyen.
  • Bentley doubled its lead with less than 12 minutes remaining in regulation as freshman Sydney O'Connor collected a Falcons goal kick at the halfway line, turned past a defender and dribbled into space before lobbing a high shot from 21-yards out in the left channel over the Stonehill keeper.
  • Stonehill pulled a goal back with less than five minutes to play when sophomore Taylor Burnham forced a turnover near the halfway line, and then fed junior Lauren Clement through the left channel for a low shot from inside the 18 that beat the Bentley goalkeeper to her left for her first career goal.
  • Stonehill had a late chance to pull level with 3:38 to play off a free kick that snuck through the Bentley backline to freshman Olivia Webster who fired just wide into the left side netting.
  • Freshman Claire Ewen preserved the win with three saves in the Bentley goal.
