How it Happened
- Anna Maria wasted little time getting the scoring started, netting the game's opening goal at the 5:38 mark of the opening frame off the stick of Bouveng. Through the remainder of the first period, both sides would trade shots back and forth, playing to a 1-0 score heading into the first intermission.
- Stonehill would dominate possession throughout the middle frame, outshooting the Amcats 17-5 over the 20 minutes of action.
- However, each side would light the lamp in the second period after Raposo netted his first of two on the night before Ronayne would respond less than three minutes later at the 18:06 mark to cut the deficit to 2-1 heading into the third period.
- The Skyhawks would tie the game up at two apiece eight minutes into the third and final frame of regulation after Ronayne redirected a Tertyshny shot off the point into the back of the net.
- At the 17:08 mark of the third period, Raposo scored what would prove to be the game-winner after receiving a cross-ice saucer pass from freshman Max Wennerberg.
- Despite the late effort to mount a comeback, Anna Maria would seal the 4-2 victory with an empty net goal in the waning seconds of the contest.
