The Details
- Long Island started off the scoring right away as the Sharks netted three goals in the opening frame off the sticks of DiCicco, Zary, and Wallack at 11:10, 16:15, and 17:50 respectively.
- The Sharks continued their momentum going into the second when the Sharks potted three more goals from Welsh (01:22) and Goodsir (13:18 and 13:40).
- However, not long after Goodsir's second goal, the squad got on the board courtesy of Rapalje after Martignetti gave him a great setup. Although Stonehill cut into Long Island's lead, the Sharks responded 11 seconds later thanks to a goal from Quinn.
- In the final frame, Long Island tacked on two more goals (Zary-02:06 and Müller-13:32) for the eventual 9-1 win.
