Hayward had Stonehill within seven (24-17) after a jumper with 6:20 to play in the half, but UNLV followed with the next 18 points, getting points from five different scorers, to open a 25-point cushion (42-17) after a layup by Roland with three minutes left in the half. The Rebels would not let the Skyhawks back within a 20-point margin the rest of the way.
Coach's Corner
"Tonight was a great opportunity for us to challenge ourselves against a high-level program," said Stonehill head coach
Trisha Brown. "There is certainly a lot to learn from the game. I am so impressed with the play of
Sharn Hayward – she has developed into a complete scorer. She showed tremendous leadership over these two games on the trip."
