PROVIDENCE, R.I. (September 6, 2024) – Postgrad Ally DeCoste scored the first two goals to spark Providence College to a 3-0 victory over Stonehill College in non-conference field hockey action at Lennon Family Field this afternoon.

- Postgrad Asia Porter registered three saves to preserve the shutout in goal for the Friars.

How It Happened
- DeCoste opened the scoring with 4:05 remaining in the first quarter when she one-timed a pass from sophomore Carly van Benten for her second goal of the season.
- DeCoste doubled the Friars lead 5:34 into the second half off a pass from senior Bella DelNegro in transition.
- Crook capped the scoring on the afternoon with her first goal of the season when she knocked in a penalty corner from sophomore Bo Martina stopped by postgrad Marley Mailloux with 4:32 remaining in the contest.
Noteworthy
- Conte's four saves give her 299 for her career in 37 games played as she looks to become just the fifth in program history to reach 300 career saves with her next stop.
- This afternoon marked the second meeting all-time between Stonehill and the BIG EAST Friars, with PC taking a 2-0 lead with the win.
