(January 20, 2025) – The Stonehill College men's basketball team erased a 19-point deficit with under eight minutes to play but dropped a Northeast Conference contest at Le Moyne College, 73-72 after the Dolphins sank a pair of free throws with four seconds left at Ted Grant Court Monday night.

FIRST HALF
  • Stonehill missed its first two shot attempts and turned the ball over twice, while Le Moyne went 2-2 on layup attempts to start the game as the Dolphins led 4-0 early.
  • Semona got the Skyhawks on the board with a three-pointer and then Koffi sunk a pair of free throws to give Stonehill a 5-4 lead.
  • With six lead changes in the opening six minutes of action, Le Moyne clung to a 14-11 lead with threes from graduate student Josh Morgan (Brampton, Ontario) and Koffi keeping the Skyhawks within a possession.
  • A driving layup from Semona, followed by a pair of Brogna free throws, flipped the lead back in favor of the Skyhawks, 15-14, but a Nate Fouts three-pointer put the Dolphins in front 17-15, marking the eighth lead change of the game.
  • After back-to-back layups from Brogna, the Skyhawks had their largest lead of the game, 28-22, but Le Moyne responded with a 7-0 run to retake the lead, 29-28.
  • Le Moyne extended its lead to four, 33-29, and would close out the first half on a 16-2 run to go into the break with a 38-30 advantage.
  • AJ Dancler led all scorers with 11 first-half points for the Dolphins. Le Moyne shot 62.5% (5-8) from three-point range in the first half.

  • Brogna capped off the 20-0 run with a layup that put the Skyhawks in front 65-64, but the Dolphins scored five points on their next possession due to a loose ball foul being called as a three-pointer went into the basket leading to a pair of free throws after the made three.
