ANDOVER, Mass. (January 26, 2025) – Stonehill College wrapped up its weekend home and home series with Merrimack College with four event wins in a non-conference women's swimming dual meet at the Pan Athletic Center at Phillips Academy this afternoon.
Stonehill added four more event wins to the seven it collected in its home dual with Merrimack on Saturday, posting 14 top-three finishes today.
Junior
Kristy Barry led Stonehill today with a role in two of the wins, taking first in the 200-yard individual medley relay in 2:14.89. She swam the opening butterfly leg in 28.50 seconds before completing the backstroke leg in 33.40 seconds, the breaststroke leg in 40.29 and the freestyle anchor leg in 32.70.

Stonehill's relays were strong again, adding two first-place finishes today after earning one on Saturday. Barry led off the Skyhawks 200-yard freestyle relay that took first in 1:42.55, swimming a 25.55-second split. Senior
Jami Hepburn followed with a 25.91-second split, with sophomore
Sherri Danforth swimming the third leg in 25.03 before junior
Taylor Belanger completed the anchor leg in 25.06.
Stonehill won the medley relay for the second-straight day, this one at 400 yards in a facility record 4:06.30 by freshman
Maddie Gomez, Belanger, senior
Sharlotte Lundell and sophomore
Grace Idowu. Gomez swam the lead backstroke leg in 1:03.70 before Belanger, who had a role in five event wins this weekend with her role in two relay wins today, completed the breaststroke leg in 1:06.09 and then Lundell finished the butterfly leg in 1:01.25, with Idowu completing the freestyle anchor in 55.26 seconds.
Freshman
Lilith Peterson added a second individual win for Stonehill, leading three Skyhawks in the 200-yard breaststroke with her first-place finish in 2:29.65. Hepburn was third in 2:35.86, while Barry placed fourth in 2:38.04.
Sophomore
Isabella Rodriguez led four Stonehill swimmers in the 200-yard freestyle with a second-place finish in a season-best 2:03.88, with freshman
Chihiro Bringman rounding out the top three in 2:05.28.
Rodriguez followed that with a third-place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle in a team season-best time of 18:47.60, while junior
Azia Koser placed fourth in 19:09.99. Koser also posted a second-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly in a team season-best 2:16.29.
Rodriguez anchored Stonehill's 800-yard freestyle relay that finished third in 8:46.83. Postgrad
Katie Keating swam the lead leg in 2:06.82, while freshman Gomez finished the second leg in 2:12.47 and then Bringman recorded a 2:08.69 split for the third leg before Rodriguez completed the anchor leg in 2:18.85.

Freshman
Elizabeth Weston led a trio of Stonehill swimmers that finished second through fourth in the 200-yard backstroke. Weston finished second in 2:16.63, while Gomez placed third in 2:19.30 and classmate
Sorina Cheng was fourth in 2:20.10.
Idowu completed her sixth top-three finish of the weekend with third place in the 100-yard freestyle in 56.83 seconds. Bringman placed fifth in 58.17.
More Results
- Danforth and Idowu placed fifth and sixth, respectively, in the 50-yard freestyle. Danforth clocked in at 26.74 seconds, while Idowu finished in 26.92.
- Cheng finished sixth in the 200-yard individual medley relay in 2:23.28.
