HAMILTON, N.Y. (Oct. 12, 2025) – Isa Houben tallied a goal, and
Isabelle Morton made two saves, but the Stonehill field hockey team fell on the road in a non-conference contest at Colgate by a score of 2-1 Sunday afternoon.
The Skyhawks slip to 3-10 overall, while the Raiders now stand at 4-9 on the season.
STONEHILL HIGHLIGHTS:
- Goalkeeper Isabelle Morton turned aside two shots in net for the Skyhawks.
- Isa Houben scored her second goal of the season in the third quarter.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Midway through the second quarter, Morgan Willis gave Colgate a 1-0 lead off a pass by Tyler Argilagos at 19:22. The Raiders went up 2-0 in the third when Dani Palmer tallied a goal with assists by Annie Lake and Kyleigh Welusz at the 37:19 mark.
With 15 seconds remaining in the third quarter, the Skyhawks earned a penalty corner.
Isa Houben inserted the ball, and she then batted in a rebound with four ticks left on the clock to bring Stonehill back within one score, 2-1, at 44:56.
In the final moments of the fourth, Stonehill had another penalty corner opportunity, but a shot by
Siena De Roeck was turned aside as the Raiders held on for the 2-1 win.

Stonehill (3-10, 3-2 NEC) will return home to take on New Haven (0-10, 0-5 NEC) for the Hope Happens Here Game at W.B. Mason Stadium on Friday, Oct. 17 at 3 p.m.
